Where do you fit in our pipeline?

Won't more gates just slow our releases down?

Only badly-tuned ones do. Gates are staged so fast checks block merges and slow ones run out-of-band, and flaky tests are fixed rather than tolerated — because a pipeline the team has learned to ignore is worse than none.
